The Burrell/Larsson writing team has redefined their ballads from their earlier collaborations
(Crucificado, Black Robert, Teardrops for Jimmy). Today, they have added new contemporary
compositions to their repertoire, presented in 'cabaret' style. Dave and Leena have toured
regularly in Europe since November 2005.
This critically acclaimed duo will record for HIGH TWO in the spring of 2008.

Monika Larsson is writing a book, A Jazz Life, where she chronologizes Dave Burrell’s recordings.
Through interviews and vivid recollections from Dave’s avant-garde beginnings (East Village, New York City)
in the mid-60’s to the present, Monika creates a living history of Burrell’s legacy.
